PURPOSE: An active hood unfolding system for a vehicle is provided to determine a method for unfolding an active hood and accurately compartmentalize a collision object. CONSTITUTION: An active hood unfolding system for a vehicle comprises a first pressure sensor(21), a second pressure sensor(22), an acceleration sensor(23), and an electronic control unit(24). The pressure sensor is installed on a bumper of a vehicle and converts pressure into electric signals. The second pressure sensor is installed on the front end module of the vehicle and converts pressure into electric signals. The acceleration sensor converts acceleration applied on the vehicle into electric signals. The electronic control unit receives signals from the first and the second pressure sensors and the acceleration sensor. According to an active hood unfolding algorithm, the electronic control unit determines a method for unfolding an active hood.
