In a gas-shielded arc welding torch in which the tube 3 directing shielding gas to the weld is separate from the contact and guide tube 2 through which the welding electrode 1 is fed, the tube 3 contains a reciprocatable wire brush 9. The brush 9 has brass bristles helically located on the end of a piston-rod 6 reciprocated by a power cylinder 8. The tube 3 has a removable nozzle section 3<SP>1</SP>. The tube 3 may be curved and the brush 9 connected to the piston by a flexible coupling. |
