A nematocidal composition contains as active ingredient a halo-pyridine compound of formula or a salt or N-oxide thereof, wherein R 2 is H or Me, R 3 is Me and R 1 is Cl or Br. Preferred compounds are the 4-Cl-3-Me and -3,5-diMepyridine hydrochlorides and N-oxides. Fungicides and insecticides which may be present are chloropicrin, thiram, pentachloronitrobenzene, zineb, maneb, 8-hydroxy quinoline, organic Sn and Hg compounds, triphenyl tin hydroxide, acetate and butyrate, monomethyl dithiocarbamic acid Na salt, dieldrin, endrin, and hexachlorocyclohexane. |
