SEGMENTED WASTE ROD FOR TREATING NUCLEAR WASTE, USE OF THE SAME, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a segmented waste rod that contains an element left from fuel collected for a desired isotope generated in the fuel, and stores and disposes waste generated from spent nuclear fuel.

SOLUTION: Rod segments of a segmentation waste rod are axially and removably engaged with each other, each rod segment is coated with metal, and rod segments form a continuous multi-segment waste rod. At least one of the rod segments is a waste rod segment that stores at least one piece of non-fuel waste sealed inside.
