PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an unnecessary alarm or control by properly deciding the start of an oncoming vehicle at an intersection. SOLUTION: When the following conditions are satisfied, processing for predicting the start of an oncoming vehicle is stopped (S16), while in other cases, the processing is executed (S15): there is no oncoming vehicle at the intersection; a vehicle of the user goes straight or turns left in the intersection; a position of the oncoming vehicle is in a right-turn lane or a left-turn lane; a turn indicator or hazard lamps of the oncoming vehicle blinks; parking lamps are turned on; a traffic signal facing the vehicle shows that a right turn is possible; a traffic signal facing the oncoming vehicle indicates red; or a road ahead of the intersection on which the oncoming vehicle travels is congested. The vehicle driving support device calculates the risk of collision with an obstacle to investigate whether collision may occur or not (S18), and executes driving support control such as alarm output, automatic braking, or steering when the collision is likely to occur (S19), to secure safety.
