<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handset of a telephone device capable of avoiding cost increase and avoiding an erroneous key operation by a user. Ž<P>SOLUTION: As keys packaged in a handset 200, there are only two keys of a talk key 201 for instructing start of a talk and an OFF key 202 for instructing end of the talk. The handset 200 is comprised of three portions of a plane portion 5 where a speaker 203 is disposed, a groove portion 206 of a central portion, and an inclined portion 207 where the speaker is disposed, and is structured to be easily held by a user.
