<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating structure that can further enhance a heat insulating effect by an external heat insulating wall. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The heat insulating structure A includes the external heat insulating wall 1 and an exhaust facility 2 for exhausting indoor air (a) to the outdoors. The external heat insulating wall 1 includes a wall body 10; a heat insulating material 11 installed on the outside surface of the wall body 10; an outer shell 12 covering the outside of the heat insulating material 11; and a venting layer 13 formed between the heat insulating material 11 and the outer shell 12 and opened to the lower part of the external heat insulating wall 1. The exhaust facility 2 includes an exhaust pipe 20 connected to the venting layer 13 at the upper part of the external heat insulating wall 1, and exhausts indoor air (a) exhausted to the venting layer 13 from the exhaust pipe 20, to the outdoors through the venting layer 13.
