<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take countermeasures against abnormal pulling action of a cable by a simple work without using expensive tools. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for branching a branch line cable 10, having an optical-fiber main line 11 for transmitting optical signals and a supporting-wire 12 attached thereto, from a trunk line cable system and leading the branch line cable into a building, a main fixing portion 30 for fixing the branch line cable 10 to an outer wall 20 at a first position from the trunk line cable system is formed, a part of the supporting-wire 12 is removed from a portion of the cable 10, extending between the main fixing portion 30 and a cable service entrance 21 of the building; a cable portion 10p, where only the optical fiber main line 11 remains due to the removal, is wound into a shape of a ring, to form a wound portion 11r; and a protector 50 for passing over the wound portion of the cable and holding the wound portion is fixed to the wound portion 11r. The protector 50 is arranged, such that the portion of the cable, abutting against the edge of the protector 50, can be cut preferentially by the edge to other portions of the cable, when the cable 10 is pulled from the building in the direction of the trunk cable system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
