<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fabric for a roman shade which can considerably reduce the fabrication time and the fabrication costs by eliminating complicated conventional operations by enabling a lift cord to be directly attached to one side face of a fabric body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fabric body 1 of the fabric 12 for the roman shade 13 is made of woven fabric and is hung and used. In this case, several raised thread parts 2 which are formed of bundles of several lateral threads 2a on the side face 1a of the fabric body 1 along the vertical direction so that they may be raised toward the side face 1a are arranged.
