PURPOSE: A mosquito repellent composition containing Cestrum nocturnum tree or root extract is provided to effectively remove vermin including moiquito with safety to human body. CONSTITUTION: A mosquito repellent extract contains 0.1-50 weight% of Cestrum nocturnum tree or root extract as an active ingredient. A method for producing the composition comprises: a first step of collecting and drying Cestrum nocturnum trees and roots; a second step of pulverizing the Cestrum nocturnum trees and roots, and adding organic solvent including water or ethanol to obtain Cestrum nocturnum tree ingredients; a third step of filtering or centrifuging to remove impurities; a fourth step of evaporating solvent to obtain pure Cestrum nocturnum extract; and a fifth step of adding the Cestrum nocturnum extract to total mosquito repellent components in a ratio of 0.05-5%. |
