Ž<P>SOLUTION: On the basis of instructions from an instruction unit 51, an editing table generation unit 52 generates an editing table wherein file names of video files are associated with editing-start and editing-stop frame numbers. In association with a video file, a hard disk records a video file name, a file extension number of each file constituting the video file, containing video data of frames of the video file, and an index file including a frame position inside the file.
