In cell culture using a sealed culture vessel, gradual deterioration of culture environment is prevented. A cell culture method for culturing cells by adding a fresh medium to a culture vessel including cells and a medium, wherein the cells in the culture vessel are cultured by adjusting the pH of the medium to be added to a value higher than an optimum pH for the cell culture, and/or adjusting the partial pressure of dissolved carbon dioxide in the medium to be added to a value lower than an optimum pressure for the cell culture, and/or adjusting the partial pressure of dissolved oxygen in the medium to be added to a value higher than an optimum pressure for the cell culture, and adjusting at least any of the pH, partial pressure of dissolved carbon dioxide and partial pressure of dissolved oxygen in the medium in the culture vessel to an optimum condition for the cell culture by mixing the adjusted medium and the medium in the culture vessel.
