<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical instrument proceeding through human anatomy, which includes a long-sized body having a proximal end and distal end, and at least a longitudinal axis running out therebetween. <P>SOLUTION: The medical instrument comprises a long-sized core member having a proximal end part and distal end part, and a tubular member arranged on the distal end part. A plurality of slots are formed on the tubular member. The tubular member has the longitudinal axis and is made of a superelastic material. The plurality of slots are arranged so as to form a plurality of groups on the same position along the longitudinal axis of the tubular member.
