<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small multi-band resonator, and a multi-band filter using this multi-band resonator. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The multi-band resonator is provided with N-sheets (N is an integer of ≥2) of dielectric substrates each having a resonant portion formed by a line conductor, and the dielectric substrates are stacked at intervals determined each other. For example, a ground conductor may be formed on the surface of each of the dielectric substrates. The line conductor forming the resonant portion may have one end connected to the ground conductor and the opened other end. In order to reduce the interval between resonant frequencies, the opened end of the line conductor may be the same direction, and to increase the interval between the resonant frequencies, the opened end of the adjacent line conductor may be inverse direction. Further, this multi-band filter employs this multi-band resonator, and is provided with an input output section on an n-th (n is an integer of ≥1 but ≤N) dielectric substrate.
