<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating case easily detached even if the divided surfaces of the heat insulating case are not positioned on the same plane, and a cooling unit provided with the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This heat insulating case 1 includes a styrol first case 2 having projecting long protrusions 5, 7 and a styrol second case 3 having recessed portions 6, 8 fitted around the protrusions 5, 7. Further, a protective sheet 9 adheres to fitting surfaces of the protrusions 5, 7 and recessed portions 6, 8. Since the protrusions 5, 7 are fitted to the recessed portions 6, 8 through the protective sheet 9, it is possible to ensure sealability, and also since the protective sheet 9 prevents damage to the protrusions 5, 7 and recessed portions 6, 8, it is possible to enhance reliability of the styrol heat insulating case 1.
