PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking device including a grill which detects the abnormal state of temperature detecting means, where the temperature detecting means for detecting temperature in a grill storage is abnormally attached or cannot detect correct temperature in the grill storage due to deterioration or the like since the means is defective by any possibility. SOLUTION: The cooking device includes: the grill storage; heating means arranged inside the grill storage; the temperature detecting means for detecting the temperature in the grill; and a control portion for adjusting the heating amount of heating means and for performing the stop of heating, based on the detected temperature in the temperature detecting means. The control portion determines that the temperature detecting means is in an abnormal state, i.e., the abnormality of the temperature detecting means when the rising value of the detected temperature in the temperature detecting means during a prescribed period after starting heating by the heating means is a prescribed threshold or less, and stops heating when the abnormality is determined in temperature detecting means abnormality determination.
