PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a thermal capacity, reduce a warming-up time, and save space, in a fixing unit of an image forming device. SOLUTION: The fixing unit 14 includes an induction heating coil 52 arranged along an outer face of a heating belt 48, arch cores 54 and side cores 56 for forming a magnetic path in both sides of the coil center, a center core 58 arranged fixedly in the coil center, and a shielding member 60 arranged in an outside to contain the center core 58. The shielding member is nonmagnetic metal, and is moved to a shielding position of shielding magnetism by the shielding member 60, or an evacuation position allowing passing of the magnetism, according to a rotating angle, when the shielding member 60 is rotated in an outside of the center core 58. The shielding member 60 is moved to the shielding position, to shield a magnetic field, when the size of a paper sheet is small. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
