PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a run-flat tire of a side reinforced type having excellent durability in a punctured state. SOLUTION: The tire 2 includes a tread 4, sidewalls 6, a clinch part 8, beads 10, a carcass 12, a supporting layer 14, a belt 16 and a band 18 wherein cords of the carcass 12 are composed of aramid fibers, and also includes a twist coefficient T of 0.5-0.7 including limits. The tire 2 is further arranged at each shoulder 56 with a swelling part 54, and the swelling part 54 is positioned outside a grounding end Pe when viewed in the axial direction. The swelling part 54 includes a maximum thickness of 1-5 mm, and a width of 3-15 mm. The swelling part 54 does not contact with the road surface in a normal state, and in the punctured state, the swelling part 54 contacts with the road surface so as to suppress the lifting of the tread 4. The tire 2 has such a profile that its radius of curvature decreases gradually from a center point TC on the tread surface toward the outside of the axial direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
