PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an externally attachable filter which is a filter externally attached when smoking a cigarette, and adopts a device for imparting a favorite flavor to mainstream smoke, a device for adjusting the amount of the filter, and a device for improving the appearance for problems that the filter does not spread, particularly among women in the present situation because the conventional externally attachable filter has no flavor, and lacks in designability. SOLUTION: Externally attachable filters using a flavored filter material are combined in several stages so that the favorite flavor is enjoyed; the amount of the flavor is adjusted; or the amount of nicotine and tar contained in the mainstream smoke is adjusted. Furthermore, the externally attachable filter has enhanced fashionability, and is used even by the women with no difficulty by designing a filter tip as a slender and long shape, or adopting a design such as polka dots or leopard's spots on the periphery.
