SCREW PRESS AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating method of a screw press having a simple structure capable of preventing a squeezed material from being clogged in a discharge port. SOLUTION: The screw press operating method comprises: a normal operating process of discharging a squeezed material 10 from a discharge port 15 of a filtering cylinder 12 while pressing a back pressure plate 22 in the closing direction with the predetermined force; a discharge promoting process of discharging the squeezed material 10 from the discharge port 15 of the filtering cylinder 12 for the predetermined time by forcibly moving the back pressure plate 22 in the opening direction from the position in the normal operating process; and a back pressure plate closing process of reversing a screw shaft 13 while forcibly moving the back pressure plate 22 in the closing direction after the discharge promoting process.
