<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece handling device for assembling a workpiece, which compactly and simply structures a pallet moving on a conveyance line and carrying the workpiece, and is excellent in workability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The workpiece handling device comprises a conveyor 1 having the conveyance line L continuously formed so as to face at predetermined positions, the pallet 8 moving on the conveyance line L, and an assembling device 3 for assembling the workpiece W carried along the conveyance line L while mounted on the pallet 8, wherein a supply line L<SB>a</SB>for supplying a component 2 and an assembly line L<SB>b</SB>for assembling are oppositely provided on the conveyance line L. A transit line T for transferring the component 2 supplied on the supply line L<SB>a</SB>to the assembly line L<SB>b</SB>is separately provided from the conveyance line L between the supply line L<SB>a</SB>and the assembly line L<SB>b</SB>.
