<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the resistance caused when liquid in a housing of an inclined piston type hydraulic rotation device is agitated by rotation and forward/backward movement of a plurality of pistons integrated with a barrel. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A hydraulic rotation device (2) consists of a housing (4), a rotary shaft (6), a barrel (8) which is freely rotatably mounted on an inclined axial line Z in a housing inclined with respect to a rotary axial line X, which extends in a direction of the inclined axial line and which contains a plurality of cylinders in a circumferential direction, a plurality of pistons (10) whose one ends are respectively inserted into a plurality of cylinders and the other end are coupled to shaft ends of rotary shafts and which move forward and backward in the cylinders rotating together with the rotary shaft, and a cover (12) which covers an outer periphery of a space between the barrel and rotary shaft.
