<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an operator in an operator cab from a relatively fine missile and a missile larger than the fine missile, without preparing a plurality of types of guards. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This guard, which is attached to a front window of the operator cab 4, includes: rod bodies which include a plurality of vertical rods 10 and a plurality of horizontal rods 11, and which form latticeed meshes; a sandwich body for pinching the rod bodies; and a fastener which fastens the sandwich body, and which applies a pinching force for pinching the vertical and horizontal rods 10 and 11 to the sandwich body. The sandwich body is composed of a frame body 12 which is arranged on the side of getting close to the front window of the operator cab 4 and which has a step portion 15 for housing the vertical rod 11, a pair of horizontal plates 13 which are arranged on the side of getting away from the front window of the operator cab 4 and which sandwich the vertical rod 10 between the frame body 12 and the pair of horizontal plates 13, and a pair of vertical plates 14 which sandwich the horizontal rod 11 between the frame body 12 and the pair of vertical plates 14.
