Disclosed is an X-ray imaging device (1) comprising an X-ray detection unit (2), a cold electron source (3) and a light-shielding coating layer (9). The X-ray detection unit (2) comprises an X-ray conversion layer composed of an X-ray conversion material which generates an electric charge when an X-ray is incident thereon, a first charge injection blocking layer formed on the incident surface of the X-ray conversion layer, and a second charge injection blocking layer formed on the rear surface of the X-ray conversion layer. The cold electron source (3) comprises a plurality of electron emitting portions arranged in a matrix, each capable of emitting an electron toward the second charge injection blocking layer of the X-ray detection unit (2). The light-shielding coating layer (9) blocks entrance of visible light into the X-ray detection unit (2).
