A method and device, in a session manager, which is used to select a route for the caller terminal which requests for a session, and a method and device, in a media gateway control device, which is used to select a route for the caller who requests for a session correspondingly, the character of which is selecting the MGW with less load according to the load related information of MGWs, are provided. The method and device according to the present invention can balance the load of each MGW, prevent some MGW from a lower capability because of a heavy load, and bypass the MGWs which stop working, in order to improve the probability to establisha session successfully, and improve the session capability, which benefits the inter-communication between the grouping switch network such as an IMS network and the circuit switch network, and is positive for multi-networks amalgamation. |
