PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of a noise component while enhancing image resolution of an image.

SOLUTION: An image signal processor is provided with: a luminance tangential line vector detection part for detecting a luminance tangential line vector for indicating the tangential line direction of lines made by a luminance signal in an image; a high-resolution processing part for performing high-resolution processing of the image by using the luminance tangential line vector; and a low pass filter part for performing low pass filter processing to the image of high resolution by the high-resolution processing part by switching coefficients in accordance with the direction of the luminance tangential line vector.
