PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform accurate white balance correction. SOLUTION: In a white balance correction apparatus 10 which inputs image data captured from an imaging device 21 and adjusts balancing between color signals in image data of a present frame, a WB evaluation value extraction unit 12 acquires a plurality of sets of color signal data at pixel positions as evaluation values from the image data of the present frame and image data of at least one past frame imaged in the past after the present frame. The WB evaluation value extraction unit 12 includes an overlapped region detection section 121 for detecting an image region overlapped with each other between the image data of the at least one past frame and the image data of the present frame. The evaluation value acquired from the image data of the at least one past frame is selectively acquired in accordance with a result of the detection, so that, when calculating a white balance coefficient at a WB coefficient calculation unit 14, any unsuitable evaluation value is not used.
