DISCHARGE LAMP LIGHTING DEVICE AND LIGHTING FIXTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp lighting device and a lighting fixture, for improving in reliability and lifetime by reducing a temperature rise by making it hard to receive a temperature influence from a discharge lamp.

SOLUTION: The discharge lamp lighting device 10 and the lighting fixture 100 receive a commercial electric power and convert it to a high frequency power while being furnished on a ceiling, and control lighting of annular discharge lamps 104 and 105. A printed circuit board on which electronic components constituting a discharge lamp lighting circuit portion are mounted is arranged at the center of the annular discharge lamps 104 and 105 so as to be perpendicular to the ceiling, and includes a pair of hanging blades for receiving the commercial electric power while being connected to wiring equipment arranged on the ceiling plane for receiving power. The printed circuit board mounts a light receiving element 21 parallel to the ceiling plane and includes arms 102 and 103 supporting the annular discharge lamps 104 and 105. The arms 102 and 103 are provided with a shade fitting mechanism 111 for fitting a shade 106.
