<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a swimming suit having less fluid resistance, moderately tightening the waist part of a wearer to stabilize her (his) trunk, and maintaining her (his) limbs and trunk parallel to water flow so as to fulfill mobile function. <P>SOLUTION: The swimming suit (10) is structured so that a body portion (11) covering the upper half of the body and a spats portion (12) covering the lower half of the body are joined with each other at any part thereof, and is worn while being tightly fit on the body surface of the wearer. The body part is made of an inside fabric (13) at the skin side and an outside fabric (14) at its outside. The lower end of the inside fabric (13) is joined with at least a part of the spats portion (12). The upper end of the inside fabric (13) is not joined with the outside fabric (14). At least a part of the lower end of the outside fabric (14) is joined with the front part of the spats portion (12).
