PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of predicting a molded article shape by which the shape is predicted with high precision in a short time and to provide a predicting method or the like of a cavity shape. SOLUTION: The method of predicting the molded article shape has steps of: calculating the shrinkage data of the molded article to be predicted based on the molding condition comprising the temperature control of the mold and/or the molding pressure of the mold given based on the shape data of the molded article to be predicted and the shrinkage preliminarily calculated in the relation with the molding condition; calculating the shrinkage of the molded article to be predicted using the shrinkage data; giving the molding condition to the mold used for the molded article to be predicted and calculating the deformation of the cavity of the mold by the molding condition; and predicting the shape of the molded article using the shrinkage of the molded article and the deformation of the cavity.
