摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot line detection device capable of easily and stably detecting a hot line for each of a plurality of lights, for an optic path where a plurality of lights propagates which are different in wavelength band and transmission direction, at least one of them. <P>SOLUTION: The hot line detection device includes: a light-leak generating unit 3 for leaking a part of the light propagating in a core 11 of the upstream side optic fiber 1 to a clad 12 of the downstream side optic fiber 1, the light-leak generating unit 3 being formed, when the ends of the two optic fibers 1, 1 are connected each other, by making the refractive-index distribution of the cross section orthogonal to the optic axis direction of both optic fiber 1, 1 different from the other site of the optic axis direction; and two light receiving element chips 5<SB>1</SB>, 5<SB>2</SB>capable of separately detecting two lights having different wavelength bands. Each of the light receiving element chip 5<SB>1</SB>, 5<SB>2</SB>is bonded to the outer circumference of the clad 12 of the downstream side optic fiber 1 through a transparent adhesive layer 4 which is transparent to the light leaked from the light-leak generating unit 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p>
