PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use a memory capacity of a mobile terminal by appropriately determining whether an application is started or not even when memory occupation capacities of the application and its respective functions are different from each other. SOLUTION: A mobile terminal 110 includes: a list storing section 250 for storing a start prohibition list which includes a combination of identifiers of functions unable to be started in parallel; a started function holding section 252 for holding one or more functions presently under operation; a function starting section 256 which receives a start request of a new function and controls the start of the new function; and a list determination section 254 which determines whether or not the start prohibition list includes a combination of an identifier of a function under operation and an identifier of the new function of which the start request has been received, wherein the function starting section starts the new function when the list determination section determines that the start prohibition list does not have the combination of the identifier of the new function and the identifier of the function under operation.
