PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage apparatus allowing allocation of a write area corresponding to a corresponding data area according to write performance of a host computer. SOLUTION: In this storage apparatus having one or more flash memory packages having a plurality of flash memories, and storing data transmitted from one or more host computers, a memory area provided by the one or more flash memory packages has, for one or more flash memory packages, a first area that is an area storing actual data formed by one or more logic device, and a second area that is an area storing a write instruction from the host computer to the logic device. The storage apparatus further has a monitoring section monitoring the frequency of write instructions from the host computer, and a changing section changing the size of the second area according to the frequency of write instructions.
