PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imidazole-isocyanuric acid adduct that is useful as a curing agent or a curing accelerator for an epoxy resin. SOLUTION: The imidazole-isocyanuric acid adduct represented by chemical formula (I) is obtained by causing 2-phenyl-4-hydroxymethyl-5-methylimidazole or 2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrrolo[1,2-a]benzimidazole as an imidazole compound to react with isocyanuric acid.
