<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video camera device which is excellent in color reproducibility and tone reproducibility even in a high brightness shot and a video camera device which carries out image processing which is free from tone strain since knee composition output signal is controlled by tone scaling set value inside bit processing ability even if a large dynamic range is ensured by knee composition processing in a high brightness image signal, by realizing knee curvilinear composition characteristic which ensures a wider dynamic range. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In an electronic camera device for carrying out exposure time control by using at least two image signals of long time exposure and short time exposure, an acquisition means for collecting an image signal by the short time exposure and an operation means for operating a color signal component level from the image signal collected by the acquisition means are provided.
