<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the overturn of the valve element of a suction check valve in a scroll compressor. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This scroll compressor includes: a casing; a compression mechanism provided in the casing and having a movable scroll and a fixed scroll (31) engaged with the movable scroll to form a compression chamber (33) and formed with a suction passage (61) for introducing fluid to the compression chamber (33); and a suction pipe (14) having one end inserted in the suction passage (61). The suction check valve (80) is provided in the suction passage (61). The suction check valve (80) is provided with: the dish-shaped valve element (81) provided movably in the longitudinal direction of the suction passage (61) and closing the opening (14a) of the suction pipe (14) at one end; a spring (82) pressing the valve element (81) from the back surface of the valve element (81) toward the opening (14a) of the suction pipe (14); and a guide member (85) suppressing inclination of the valve element (81).
