PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display controller etc. with more reduced power consumption. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal controller 15 controls a liquid crystal module 14. The liquid crystal module 14 includes a matrix-type LCD element in which display pixels are arrayed in matrix and a drive circuit for driving the LCD element, and has an operation mode of performing a new display operation and a suspended mode of suspending the display operation. When receiving from the liquid crystal module 14, a suspended/operation signal indicating that either of the operation mode or suspended mode is given. the liquid crystal controller 15, based on the received suspended/operation signal, performs a control so as to transmit a display data and a plurality of control signals necessary for controlling the liquid crystal module 14 to the liquid crystal module 14.
