摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve optical signal transmission free from the degradation of signal quality in a wide range of environmental temperatures. SOLUTION: A resonance type light modulator which resonates with light from a laser diode 11 having a peak of light intensity in a wavelength region to change characteristics of the light is used, and the resonant action of the resonance type light modulator is conducted several times per pulse of an electric signal to be transmitted, to transmit one signal by a plurality of signal light beams output from the resonance type light modulator. The resonance type light modulator includes a ring type resonator 13, a linear waveguide 12 which is arranged closely to the ring type resonator 13 and receives light of a light source, and an electrode 14 disposed closely to the ring type resonator 13, and a resonance wavelength of the ring type resonator is controlled by a control signal applied to the electrode 14.
