<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display improved in brightness more than before. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display has a back light and a liquid crystal display panel arranged on the back light. The liquid crystal display has a first substrate arranged at the back light side, a second substrate arranged at the viewer side, liquid crystals disposed between these substrates, and a first polarizer plate arranged on the first substrate.
