<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy in measuring the line of sight by computing a correction coefficient using sight line data with high reliability about gazing at a specific position in the automatic calibration. <P>SOLUTION: The sight line data are computed based on image data captured by a camera 12, and operation data when a device is operated, detected by an operation sensor 14, are acquired. The computed sight line data and the acquired operation data are associated with each other in time series and stored. Sight line data stored from a prescribed time Δt before the starting time t1 of specific operation to the termination time t2 are retrieved from the stored operation data, and the sight line data from the time (t1-Δt) to the time t2 and distributed within a prescribed range are extracted from the retrieved sight line data, and the gazing position is computed based on the distribution of the extracted sight line data. Then, the correction coefficient for correcting the sight line data is computed so that the gazing position coincides with a predetermined gazing position for the specific operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
