<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical circuit used for a node of ROADM system, which allows inputting/outputting of optical signal of an optional wavelength from an add/drop port, by utilizing the circumferential nature of a wavelength multiplexer/demultiplexer equipped to the add/drop port, resulting in reduced circuit scale of an optical switch and the wavelength multiplexer/demultiplexer. <P>SOLUTION: The optical circuit comprises five 8×8 matrix optical switches 201 and eight wavelength multiplxers 202 of 100 GHz interval 5 ch in which one of the output of the 8×8 matrix optical switches 201 is input. Here, FSR of the wavelength multiplexer is 500 GHz. The optical circuit is used on the drop side in the node configuration of ROADM system. Forty input terminals are input with optical signals of wavelength interval 100 GHz (λ1, λ2, ..., λ40 in the order from short wavelength side). Eight optical signals, among them, which have the numbers having the same residues of 5 are input in one 8×8 matrix optical switches 201. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
