<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of preventing an atmosphere inside a room from being damaged by a sense of pressure or the like of a black area by shielding a video display section while no video image is displayed on the video display section. <P>SOLUTION: A display device comprises: a video display section 4a for displaying a video image; a front sheet having a shield area for shielding the overall video display section approximately in a state where the front sheet is positioned on a front surface of the video display section; sheet moving means 10, 11 for moving the front sheet; and a control means which controls the sheet moving means while being linked with display/non-display of the video image on the video display section, positions the shield area on the front surface of the video display section while no video image is displayed, and retracts the shield area from the front surface of the video display section while any video image is displayed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
