<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange a metal heat radiating fin and an electronic component used for speed changing control in a limited small place without applying a stress to the electronic component used for speed changing control, as the method as the method for holding, in the metal heat radiating fin, the electronic component such as an FET element for preventing overcurrent from a battery portion to a motor portion in the power tool, and the electronic component used for speed changing control. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A power tool includes the electronic component such as the FET element used for the speed changing of a switch portion, a protective circuit for preventing overcurrent from the battery portion to the motor portion, and the like, and a recess-shaped groove portion near a border portion of a contact surface between the FET element and the metal heat radiation fin for improving a heat radiation efficiency of the electronic component such as the FET element.
