PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive device for adjusting a telescopically movable element like a shaft of a tool. SOLUTION: The device includes an inner element 1 and an outer element. The inner element 1 is axially movable with respect to the outer element 3. One end of the outer element has a lock member 4 mutually locking the inner element 1 and the outer element. The lock member 4 can be operated by an operating member 5 spaced from the lock member 4 in a direction of the other end of the outer element, through an affecting member movable along an axis in parallel to a vertical axis of the outer element or rotatable around the axis. An upper part of the operating member is in a shape of push button, and the affecting member has a pipe completely or partially surrounding the outer element. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
