PURPOSE: A device for removing foreign materials on a steel sheet is provided to improve the quality of a steel coil product and prevent damage to facilities of a side trimmer due to burr. CONSTITUTION: A device for removing foreign materials on a steel sheet comprises a device body unit(10), a burr removal roll(30), and a roll rotation speed control unit(50). The device body unit comprises a moving body(12) and a roll-mounted rotation body(14). The moving body is installed on a conveying unit and moves toward a steel sheet. The roll-mounted rotation body comprises a rotation body, one or more roll support brackets(18) and an elastomer(20). The roll support bracket is installed to incline the burr removal roll in the steel sheet progress direction. The burr removal roll is mounted on both sides of a second rotation body(22) which is installed to be horizontally rotated. A knurling portion(32) is formed on the surface of burr masher roll of the burr removal roll. The roll rotation speed control unit comprises rotating gears(52) and a link group(54).
