<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a conventional perimeter is redundant and the shape of a scotoma and a blind spot detected by the conventional perimeter is considerably different from the actual shape. <P>SOLUTION: The static visual field scanning apparatus includes a visual field scan image generation means, a fixed visual target display control means, a scanning line setting means, a scanning point setting means, a visual target display control means, a first detection means, a second detection means, a visual field mapping image generation means, a means for continuing scanning immediately after first detection, a means for continuing scanning immediately after second detection, a response standby means, a visual target presenting coordinate storage means, a visual target recognition impossible mark mapping means, a first completion determination means, a second completion determination means, a means for computing the next scanning point for the time of first completion determination, and a means for computing the next scanning point for the time of second completion determination.
