<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recyclable inkjet recording material that exhibits improved image bleeding while having cockling, smoothness, gloss, and texture respectively at a level equivalent to those of an inkjet recording material using an RC support. <P>SOLUTION: A support for an inkjet recording material has at least one coating layer on the surface on the side, where an image forming layer is provided, of base paper. The coating layer includes at least a pigment and a latex binder. The face, to be coated with an image forming layer, of the coating layer is configured such that the Cobb water absorbency measured according to the water absorbency test (a contact time of 120 seconds) predetermined by JIS P8140 is ≥0.5 g/m<SP>2</SP>and ≤2.0 g/m<SP>2</SP>while Oken type smoothness predetermined by the J.
