<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam reforming catalyst which is capable of accelerating the steam reform reaction with high hydrogen selectivity under low temperature conditions while reducing risks of carbon deposition on the surface of a catalyst when reformed. <P>SOLUTION: The steam reforming catalyst is a catalyst to reform a fuel by the steam reforming reaction and contains an inorganic oxide having lattice oxygen, cobalt carried by the inorganic oxide having lattice oxygen and an additive carried by the inorganic oxide having lattice oxygen. The carried amount of the additive is 0.03-2 mass% calculated in terms of metal to the total amount of the inorganic oxide having lattice oxygen, the cobalt and the additive. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
