PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the contribution of radiation dosage to normal tissues by reducing the half shadow area of an irradiation field in scanning irradiation. SOLUTION: A corpuscular beam irradiating apparatus for the scanning irradiation of corpuscular beams includes a beam form setting means (including a collimator 32, a scatterer 34 and a ridge filter 36) to set up a plurality of beam forms, and a means (including a collimator controller 33, a scatterer controller 35 and a filter controller 37) to change the beam forms during the scanning operation.
