PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyimide gas separating membrane suitable as a gas separating membrane for separating an organic vapor mixture containing a vapor of an organic compound by a vapor permeation method and especially improved in steam parmeability, the separation degree of steam and organic vapor, high temperature durability to steam and organic vapor, and the like. SOLUTION: The gas separating membrane is formed of an aromatic polyimide including an aromatic tetracarboxylic acid component and an aromatic diamine component containing (1) 2,2-bis[4-(4-aminophenoxy)phenyl] propane, (2) 3,4'-diaminodiphenyl ether and (3) diamine having a single or a plurality of aromatic rings in a specific ratio.
